Showroom-quality fullbore rifles for 800–1,000-yard iron-sight competition.
International Palma (aka fullbore) is long-distance shooting from 800, 900, and 1,000 yards using metallic iron sights. All shots are fired prone, with the rifle supported by two hands and one shoulder. It should not be confused with F-Class, where artificial rests, bipods, and high-magnification optics are permitted — and a rifle fitted with optics is no longer a Palma rifle.
As of October 2012, the ICFRA revised the rules governing Palma to put the fourteen competing nations on a level playing field under one sanctioning body. Two cartridges are permitted — the .308 Winchester and the .223 Remington — with essentially any bullet that can be safely chambered and fired, a radical change from the days when the 155-grain Sierra MatchKing was the only permitted bullet.

A single-shot prone gun is fundamentally simple, but the game is so competitive that no rock can be left unturned. Our working relationships with accomplished shooters let us adapt to new trends and the current needs of competitors. These rifles are typically finished to resemble a show car — yet they carry a unique serviceability requirement, enduring high round counts and routine disassembly for transport.
Cheek-piece hardware. Our competitive cheek-adjustment hardware is some of the finest made. A detented thumbwheel closely tracks the elevation scale on the rear sight; heavy-walled guide pins ride in honed brass bushings for fluid, repeatable adjustment; and a quick-detach center pin lets the cheek piece pop on and off while holding its exact height — important when range policies require bolt removal before leaving the firing line.
Accessory rail. Built with the competitive marksman in mind, our rail uses blind mounting holes originating from the barrel channel, ending the annoyance of a handstop catching on a countersunk hole. It is wider than most, with a fully captivated “T”-slot fitted slightly proud of the stock for ample clamping area without contacting it — and engraved with a scale for repeatability.
Guard-screw escutcheon. Even an escutcheon is carefully fitted: machined parallel to the stock’s draft angle, indexed on a pin, then drilled to position and “clocked” so the countersink angle is restored to its proper relationship with the pillar bore. Screws torque up positively, preserving the precise bedding-to-receiver fit.
Trigger. When possible we fit the two-stage trigger developed by Grünig & Elmiger of Switzerland — the finest two-stage trigger ever made. We pride ourselves on being the first to adapt this design to other actions, including Nesika Bay Precision and Tubb 2K rifles. All of our pillar bedding relies on extensive CAD/CAM and CNC machining combined with experience dating back to the late 1990s, backed by an unconditional lifetime replacement policy.
